About PEG-7 Caprylic/Capric Glycerides
PEG-7 Caprylic/Capric Glycerides is a polyethylene glycol derivative of a mixture of mono-, di-, and triglycerides of caprylic and capric acids containing an average of 7 moles of ethylene oxide.[1] The number 7 in the name indicates the average number of added ethylene oxide units; with the same base structure, changing this number may also change water miscibility and the formula's viscosity and spreadability. In cosmetics, it is used to create emulsified formulas in which water and oil are evenly mixed.[2]
