About PEG-60 Almond Glycerides

PEG-60 Almond Glycerides are polyethylene glycol derivatives of mono- and diglycerides obtained from almond oil, containing an average of 60 moles of ethylene oxide.[1] The number 60 indicates the average number of added ethylene oxide units; within the same base structure, changing this number may alter water miscibility and the formulation's viscosity and spreadability. In cosmetics, they are used to create emulsions in which water and oil are evenly blended.[2]
