About PEG-6 Caprylic/Capric Glycerides
PEG-6 Caprylic/Capric Glycerides are polyethylene glycol derivatives of a mixture of mono-, di-, and triglycerides of caprylic and capric acids containing an average of 6 moles of ethylene oxide.[1] The number 6 in the name indicates the average number of added ethylene oxide units. Within the same base structure, changing this number may also change water miscibility and the viscosity and spreadability of the formulation. In cosmetics, they are used to make emulsions in which water and oil are evenly combined.[2]
