About PEG-50 Stearamide

PEG-50 Stearamide is the polyethylene glycol amide of stearic acid.[1] The number 50 in the name indicates the average number of added ethylene oxide units; for the same base structure, changing this number may also change water miscibility and the viscosity and spreadability of the formulation. In cosmetics, it is used to create emulsions in which water and oil are evenly mixed.[2]
