About PEG-5 Oleamide
PEG-5 Oleamide is the polyethylene glycol amide of oleic acid, with an average n of 5.[1] The number 5 in the name represents the average number of added ethylene oxide units; for the same base structure, changing this number may also change water miscibility and the formula’s viscosity and spreadability. In cosmetics, it is used to create emulsions in which water and oil are evenly mixed.[2]
