About PEG-5 Lauramide

PEG-5 Lauramide is the polyethylene glycol amide of lauric acid, where n averages 5.[1] The number 5 in the name represents the average number of added ethylene oxide units; with the same base structure, changing this number may alter water miscibility and the formulation's viscosity and spreadability. In cosmetics, it is used to create emulsified formulations in which water and oil are evenly mixed.[2]
