About PEG-35 Soy Glycerides
PEG-35 Soy Glycerides are polyethylene glycol derivatives of mono- and diglycerides derived from soybean, containing an average of 35 moles of ethylene oxide.[1] The number 35 in the name indicates the average number of ethylene oxide units added. For the same base structure, changing this number may also change water miscibility and the formulation's viscosity and spreadability. In cosmetics, they are used to create emulsions in which water and oil are evenly mixed and to reduce surface tension so ingredients wet, mix, and spread evenly.[2]
