PEG-35 Hydrogenated Castor Oil is a polyethylene glycol derivative of hydrogenated castor oil with an average of 35 moles of ethylene oxide.[1] The number 35 in the name indicates the average number of added ethylene oxide units; with the same base structure, changing this number may also change water miscibility and the formula's viscosity and spreadability. In cosmetics, it is used to create emulsified formulas in which water and oil are evenly mixed and to lower surface tension so raw materials wet, mix, and spread evenly.[2]
