About PEG-32 Laurate
PEG-32 Laurate is the polyethylene glycol ester of lauric acid.[1] The number 32 in the name indicates the average number of ethylene oxide units added. Within the same base structure, changes in this number may affect water miscibility as well as the viscosity and spreadability of the formulation. In cosmetics, it is used to reduce surface tension so that raw materials wet, mix, and spread evenly.[2]
