About PEG-32

PEG-32 is a polymer of ethylene oxide.[1] The number 32 in the name indicates the average number of added ethylene oxide units. In the same base structure, changing this number may also change water miscibility and the formula's viscosity and spreadability. In cosmetics, it is used to attract moisture to the formula and skin surface and help maintain a moisturized feel, and to dissolve other raw materials to create a uniform formula.[2]
