About PEG-3 Dipalmitate
PEG-3 Dipalmitate is a polyethylene glycol diester of palmitic acid.[1] The number 3 indicates the average number of added ethylene oxide units; within the same basic structure, changing this number may also change water miscibility and the formula’s viscosity and spreadability. In cosmetics, it is used to create emulsified formulas in which water and oil are evenly mixed.[2]
