About PEG-26 Jojoba Acid
PEG-26 Jojoba Acid is a polyethylene glycol derivative of the acid obtained by saponifying jojoba oil, with an average ethoxylation of 26.[1] The number 26 in the name indicates the average number of ethylene oxide units added. With the same base structure, changing this number may also change water miscibility and the formula’s viscosity and spreadability. In cosmetics, it is used to create emulsions in which water and oil are evenly mixed, and to lower surface tension so ingredients wet, mix, and spread evenly.[2]
