About PEG-25 Soy Sterol

PEG-25 Soy Sterol is a polyethylene glycol derivative of sterols obtained from soybean oil containing an average of 25 moles of ethylene oxide.[1] The number 25 in the name indicates the average number of added ethylene oxide units; for the same base structure, changing this number may also change water miscibility and the formulation's viscosity and spreadability. In cosmetics, it is used to create emulsified formulations in which water and oil are evenly mixed.[2]
