About PEG-25 Phytostanol
PEG-25 Phytostanol is the polyethylene glycol ether of phytostanol with an average ethoxylation value of 25.[1] The number 25 in the name indicates the average number of added ethylene oxide units. With the same base structure, changing this number can also change water miscibility and the formula’s viscosity and spreadability. In cosmetics, it is used to make emulsions in which water and oil are evenly mixed.[2]
