PEG-24 Hydrogenated Lanolin is a polyethylene glycol derivative of hydrogenated lanolin containing an average of 24 moles of ethylene oxide.[1] The number 24 in the name indicates the average number of ethylene oxide units added. For the same base structure, changing this number may also change water miscibility and the formulation's viscosity and spreadability. In cosmetics, it is used to create emulsified formulations in which water and oil are evenly mixed.[2]
