About PEG-20 Mannitan Laurate
PEG-20 Mannitan Laurate is the ethoxylated mannitane ester of lauric acid, with an average of 20 moles of ethylene oxide.[1] The number 20 in the name indicates the average number of ethylene oxide units added. For the same base structure, changing this number may also change water miscibility and the formulation's viscosity and spreadability. In cosmetics, it is used to create emulsified formulations in which water and oil are evenly mixed.[2]
