About PEG-2 Dirosinate

PEG-2 Dirosinate is a polyethylene glycol diester of acids obtained from rosin.[1] The number 2 in the name indicates the average number of ethylene oxide units added; within the same base structure, changing this number may also change water miscibility and the formula’s viscosity and spreadability. In cosmetics, it is used to leave the skin feeling soft and smooth and to adjust the formula’s viscosity and flow.[2]
