About PEG-15 Stearamine

PEG-15 Stearamine is a polyethylene glycol derivative of stearylamine.[1] The number 15 in the name indicates the average number of added ethylene oxide units. With the same base structure, changing this number may also change water miscibility and the viscosity and spreadability of the formulation. In cosmetics, it is used to reduce static electricity that causes hair strands to lift or stick together and to create emulsions in which water and oil are evenly mixed.[2]
