PEG-12 Dimethicone is a polyethylene glycol derivative of dimethicone composed of an average of 12 moles of ethylene oxide.[1] The number 12 in the name indicates the average number of added ethylene oxide units; within the same base structure, changing this number may also change water miscibility and the formulation's viscosity and spreadability.
