About Palmamidopropyl Betaine

Palmamidopropyl Betaine is a zwitterion (inner salt).[1] In cosmetics, it is used to reduce static that causes hair strands to lift or stick together, help sebum and impurities wash away with water, and increase the amount of foam while helping it remain stable. It is also used to reduce hair tangling and roughness for smoother grooming, leave the skin's surface feeling soft and smooth, and lower surface tension so raw materials can wet, mix, and spread evenly.[2] [2]
