About Oleamidopropylamine Oxide
Oleamidopropylamine Oxide is an aliphatic amine oxide.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to reduce static electricity that causes hair strands to lift or cling together, help sebum and impurities rinse away with water, and increase the amount of foam and help it remain stable.[2] It is also used to reduce tangling and rough feel in hair for smoother grooming, help water-insoluble ingredients disperse more evenly in the water phase, and reduce surface tension so raw materials can wet, mix, and spread evenly.[2]
