About Oatamidopropyl Betaine
Oatamidopropyl Betaine is an amphoteric ion (zwitterion).[1] In cosmetics, it is used to help wash away sebum and impurities with water, increase the amount of foam and help keep it from collapsing easily, and lower surface tension so ingredients can wet, mix, and spread evenly.[2] It is also used to adjust the viscosity and flow of a formula.[2]
