Nylon-66 is a polyamide obtained by reacting adipic acid with hexamethylenediamine.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to increase the volume of a formulation, control the amount of solids, reduce light transmission so the contents appear less transparent, and adjust the formulation’s viscosity and flow.[2]
