Nicotiana Benthamiana R-(S-Solitary Bee Oligopeptide-1 Pentapeptide-75 S-Propionibacterium Phage P9.1 Polypeptide-1) is a single-chain recombinant peptide produced by transiently expressing or stably inserting a synthetic gene into Nicotiana benthamiana.[1] It is created by fusing the genes for Bee-Derived Oligopeptide-1, Pentapeptide-75, and Propionibacterium Phage P9.1 Polypeptide-1, and consists of 317 of the 20 standard amino acids; it may contain disulfide bonds or glycosylated structures.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to inhibit microbial growth, lyse cells of target microorganisms, and help protect the skin from external factors.[1]
