About Neosaxitoxin
Neosaxitoxin is an alkaloid composed of several linked ring structures containing nitrogen.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to slow the oxidation of formula ingredients caused by reactions with oxygen, reduce perspiration, and provide a temporary tightening, astringent feel on the skin or scalp.[2] It is also used to add color to a product or the area of application and to protect the skin from external factors.[2]
