About Myristamine Oxide
Myristamine Oxide is a tertiary amine oxide.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to reduce static electricity that causes hair strands to lift or stick together, help sebum and impurities rinse away with water, and create emulsified formulations in which water and oil are evenly mixed.[2] It is also used to increase the amount of foam and help keep it from collapsing easily, reduce hair tangling and rough feel for smoother conditioning, and help ingredients that do not dissolve well in water disperse more evenly in the aqueous phase.[2] It is used to lower surface tension so raw materials can wet, mix, and spread evenly.[2]
