About Myristamidopropyl Betaine
Myristamidopropyl Betaine is an amphoteric surfactant.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to reduce static electricity that causes hair strands to lift or stick together, to help sebum and impurities rinse away with water, and to increase the amount of foam and help it remain stable. It is also used to reduce tangling and roughness in hair for a smoother, more manageable feel, to leave the skin's surface soft and smooth, and to lower surface tension so that ingredients can wet, mix, and spread evenly.[2] [2]
