About Myristamide DEA
Myristamide DEA is mainly a mixture of ethanolamides of myristic acid.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to reduce static electricity that causes hair strands to lift or stick together, increase the amount of foam and help keep it from collapsing easily, and control the viscosity and flow of the formula.[3] In Europe, the secondary amine content of finished products is limited to a maximum of 0.5%, and nitrosamine content must also be no more than 50 μg/kg.[2]
