About Montan Wax
Montan Wax is a wax obtained by extracting it from lignite.[1] Because the fatty components obtained from Montan Wax are predominant, it mixes more readily with oils than with water and is suitable for adding slip and a soft, flexible feel to skin or hair while reducing the sensation of moisture evaporating quickly. In cosmetics, it is used to help ingredients bind together and maintain the product's shape, and to adjust the viscosity and flow of the formulation.[2]
