About Mipa-Myristate
Mipa-Myristate is the salt of mono-isopropanolamine and myristic acid.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to increase the amount of foam and help keep it from collapsing easily, lower surface tension so raw materials wet, mix, and spread evenly, and adjust the viscosity and flow of the formula.[3] In Europe, the secondary amine content of the finished product is limited to a maximum of 0.5%, and the nitrosamine content must not exceed 50 μg/kg.[2]
