About Minkamidopropyl Betaine
Minkamidopropyl Betaine is a zwitterion (inner salt).[1] In cosmetics, it is used to help sebum and impurities wash away with water, increase the amount of foam and help it remain stable, and smooth hair by reducing tangling and a rough feel.[2] It is also used to leave the skin surface feeling soft and smooth and to lower surface tension so ingredients can wet, mix, and spread evenly.[2]
