About Minkamide DEA
Minkamide DEA is a mixture of ethanolamides of fatty acids obtained from mink oil.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to increase the amount of foam and help keep it from collapsing easily, and to lower surface tension so raw materials can wet, mix, and spread evenly.[3] In Europe, the secondary amine content in the finished product is limited to a maximum of 0.5%, and the nitrosamine content must also be no more than 50 μg/kg.[2]
