About Mica
Mica is a series of silicate minerals with different chemical compositions but similar physical properties.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to help powder ingredients flow evenly without clumping, increase the bulk of a formulation, adjust the amount of solids, and add color to a product or the area of application.[2] It is also used to reduce light transmission so that the contents appear less translucent.[2]
