Methylamido Cellulose Gum is a product obtained from the reaction of N-Hydroxysuccinimide, methylamine, 1-Ethyl-3-(3-dimethylaminopropyl)carbodiimide hydrochloride, and cellulose gum.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to form a thin film on the surface of the skin, hair, and nails after application, to attract moisture to the formulation and skin surface to help maintain hydration, and to leave the skin surface feeling soft and smooth.[2]
