About Methyl Octine Carbonate
Methyl Octine Carbonate is an ingredient in salt form, in which an acid and a base form a pair.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to add fragrance to products or adjust the characteristic odor of raw materials.[1] In Korea, it may be used at up to 0.002%. When formulated with Methyl 2-Octynoate, the combined amount of the two ingredients must not exceed 0.01% in the finished product.[2] In Europe, it may be used in oral products.[3]
