Meroxapol 171 is a polyoxypropylene, polyoxyethylene block polymer in which x, y, and z are 12, 4, and 12 on average, respectively.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to create emulsified formulas in which water and oil are evenly mixed and to lower surface tension so ingredients can wet, mix, and spread evenly.[2]
