About Mealworm Oil

Mealworm Oil is an oil obtained from mealworm larvae.[1] Because it is primarily composed of fatty components obtained from mealworm larvae, it mixes better with oil than water and is suitable for adding slip and a supple feel to skin or hair while reducing the feeling of moisture evaporating quickly. In cosmetics, it is used to slow the oxidation of formulation ingredients caused by reactions with oxygen, attract moisture to the formulation and skin surface to help maintain moisture, and leave the skin surface feeling soft and smooth.[2]
