About Mea-Thiolactate
MEA-Thiolactate is the monoethanolamine salt of thiolactic acid.[1] In cosmetics, it is used in products that create waves or straighten hair to help change its shape.[3] In Europe, the secondary amine content of the finished product is limited to a maximum of 0.5%, and nitrosamine content must also be no more than 50 μg/kg.[2]
