About Mea-Lauryl Sulfate
MEA-Lauryl Sulfate is the monoethanolamine salt of sulfated lauryl alcohol.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to help sebum and impurities rinse away with water and to lower surface tension so ingredients wet, mix, and spread evenly.[3] In Europe, the secondary amine content of the finished product is limited to a maximum of 0.5%, and the nitrosamine content must not exceed 50 μg/kg.[2]
