About Mannitan Oleate
Mannitan Oleate is a monoester of oleic acid and an anhydride obtained from mannitol.[1] Its properties and sensory feel in finished products may vary depending on the concentration, the combination of ingredients used with it, the formulation's acidity, and manufacturing conditions. In cosmetics, it is used to create emulsions in which water and oil are evenly mixed, and to lower surface tension so raw materials can wet, mix, and spread evenly.[2]
