About Lithium Stearate

Lithium Stearate is the lithium salt of stearic acid.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to help powder ingredients flow evenly without forming lumps, help ingredients in the formulation bind together and maintain its shape, and reduce light transmission so the contents appear less see-through.[2] It is also used to control a formulation’s viscosity and flow.[2]
