About Linoleamide DEA

Linoleamide DEA is a mixture of ethanolamides of linoleic acid.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to reduce static electricity that causes hair strands to lift or stick together, increase the amount of foam and help it resist collapsing, and reduce hair tangling and rough feel for smoother conditioning.[3] It is also used to adjust the formula’s viscosity and flow.[3] In Europe, the secondary amine content of the finished product is limited to a maximum of 0.5%, and nitrosamine content must not exceed 50 μg/kg.[2]
