About Laurtrimonium Bromide
Laurtrimonium Bromide is a quaternary ammonium salt.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to reduce static electricity that causes hair strands to lift or stick together, reduce tangling and roughness in hair for smoother grooming, and inhibit the growth of microorganisms in the product to delay deterioration during storage.[3] In Europe, when used as a preservative, it is permitted at concentrations up to 0.1%.[2]
