Lauroyl/Myristoyl Methyl Glucamide is an ingredient obtained by reacting a mixture of lauroyl and myristoyl chlorides with methyl glucamine.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to reduce friction and add a smooth feel to skin or hair, reduce tangling and roughness for smoother hair, and leave the skin surface feeling soft and smooth.[2] It is also used to lower surface tension so ingredients can wet, mix, and spread evenly, and to adjust the viscosity and flow of formulas.[2]
