Laneth-75 is a polyethylene glycol ether of lanolin alcohol with an average ethoxylation value of 75.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to help sebum and impurities rinse away with water, create emulsified formulas in which water and oil are evenly mixed, and lower surface tension so ingredients can wet, mix, and spread evenly.[2]
