About Laneth-25

Laneth-25 is the polyethylene glycol ether of ethoxylated lanolin alcohol, with an average of 25 moles of ethylene oxide.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to help rinse sebum and impurities away with water, create emulsions in which water and oil are evenly mixed, and lower surface tension so raw materials can wet, mix, and spread evenly.[2] It is also used to adjust the viscosity and flow of formulations.[2]
