About Laneth-16
Laneth-16 is the polyethylene glycol ether of lanolin alcohol ethoxylated with an average of 16 moles.[1] Its properties and skin feel in the finished product may vary depending on the concentration, the ingredients used with it, the formulation’s acidity, and manufacturing conditions. In cosmetics, it is used to create emulsified formulations in which water and oil are evenly mixed, and to lower surface tension so raw materials can wet, mix, and spread evenly.[2]
