About Jojobamidopropyl Betaine

Jojobamidopropyl Betaine is an ingredient that acts at the interface between water and oil.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to physically remove deposits from the surface of the skin or teeth, reduce static electricity that causes hair strands to lift or stick together, and help sebum and dirt rinse away with water.[1] It is also used to increase the amount of foam and help it remain stable, reduce tangling and roughness in the hair for a smoother finish, lower surface tension so ingredients wet, mix, and spread evenly, and adjust the formula’s viscosity and flow.[1] [1]
