About Isotriacontane

Isotriacontane is an individual ingredient used in cosmetics.[1] In cosmetics, it is used to slow the rate at which formula ingredients oxidize through reaction with oxygen, provide a temporary tightening or astringent feel to the skin or scalp, and leave the skin’s surface feeling soft and smooth.[1] It is also used to reduce friction and add a smooth feel to skin or hair, reduce tangling and rough feel in hair for smoother conditioning, attract moisture to the formulation and skin surface to help maintain a moisturized feel, lower surface tension so raw materials wet, mix, and spread evenly, help ingredients that do not dissolve well in water disperse more evenly in the aqueous phase, and protect the skin from external factors.[1] [1]
