About Isopropylparaben

Isopropylparaben is an ester of isopropyl alcohol and p-hydroxybenzoic acid.[1] The properties and sensory feel of Isopropylparaben in a finished product may vary depending on the concentration, the ingredients used with it, the formulation's acidity, and manufacturing conditions. In cosmetics, it is used to inhibit the growth of microorganisms in products and delay deterioration during storage.[3] It cannot be used in cosmetics in Europe.[2]
